Complete the online application - this is a TWO STEP process:
Step One: Create a VCCS account - go to www.nr.edu, click on the red “Apply” button in the top right corner
Create an account as a “New User”
Press "Continue with Google" to use your MCPS email account: we recommend using your MCPS email in the event if you need to reset your NRCC account (you can update the email at any time)
Step Two: Apply to NRCC after you have created your account:
Click on “Apply” in the top right hand corner
Scroll down the page and click on “New River Community College

After submitting the NRCC application:
After pressing "submit," wait on this page until a Confirmation Page appears
We recommend taking a picture of the yellow box (or record this information), which includes your NRCC student number, username, and a temporary password
Return required forms to the school counseling office by Thursday, April 17th, 2025:
If you have access to a printer, print the Confirmation Page, have a parent sign the bottom, and return to your school counselor
If you do not have access to a printer, pick-up a copy of the Parent Signature Form in the BHS Counseling Office, have a parent sign the bottom, and return to your school counselor
9th and 10th graders must also return a signed Request for Special Circumstance Dual Enrollment form to the counseling office - Special Circumstances forms must be completed every year based on the student's DE course requests
