Continuing our weather updates, recently there has been an earthquake. This earthquake wasn’t located near us, but in the New York City region. This happened on Friday April 5th, 2024. While searching for more news about this topic, we have discovered that this was one of the largest earthquakes on the East Coast in the last century. This earthquake had a magnitude of 4.0, according to the USGS. Luckily there was no major damage reported, but is in notice to inspect the roads and bridges. A survey that was taken after the earthquake by locals had stated that there were shaking buildings up and down the East Coast. Some had rarely notable seismic activity. While this was a concern for some, no one was hurt or injured.
