House District 104

Representative Margie Wilcox

First elected in 2014 Margie has been a proud leader for south Mobile County.

During that time Margie has worked hard to fight against wasteful spending and excessive government regulation particularly on small businesses.

Margie has been leading an effort to ensure greater transparency and accountability from Alabama's transportation department ALDOT.  As a result of her stand on transportation issues and accountability Margie will soon take over as Chairwoman of the Legislature's Joint Transportation Committee as appointed by her colleagues.

Over the years Margie has written and passed legislation providing for school bus safety, protecting local crawfish boils and boat decals.

During the 2019 session she worked with the members of Mobile Bay NEP to update Alabama’s litter laws. In addition to serving as Vice-Chairwoman of the Joint Transportation Committee, Margie is also Chairwoman of the Joint License Plate Committee and Vice-Chair of the County and Municipal Government Committee reviewing all bills associated with local governments.
