McNeil Elementary is proud to serve a diverse population of 381 students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. We also serve two self-contained special education classrooms for students with behavioral and emotional disabilities.

Counselor Role: The school counselor visits each classroom to present lessons designed to meet the developmental needs of every child. Mrs. Jones also meets with individuals and small groups to build academic, social, and emotional growth in areas that include emotional regulation, friendship, anxiety, divorce, academic achievement, and loss.
Leadership and Advocacy: Mrs. Jones is an integral member of the administrative team. She collaborates with administrators, teachers, parents, students, and other stakeholders to promote positive change within McNeil and the community. Her role as a campus leader finds her leading professional development, parent meetings, campus events, and promoting great character through many different avenues. Her leadership as the Kindness Crew Co-Coordinator, 504 Coordinator, At-Risk Coordinator, McKinney-Vento Campus Coordinator, and Community Partnership Liaison gives Mrs. Jones opportunities to connect all stakeholders within our community by organizing community outreach events that have included McNeil's Veterans Day Assembly, Thanksgiving Baskets, Community Service Project, and Kindness Week.
