Well, I've never gone this deep into the Suzuki's frame before. Each step pf the way made me feel more and more apprehensive about not being able to get everything back exactly as before. But I guess that doesn't matter as long as it all fits under the seat and tank and doesn't chafe, bind or pinch. If that sounds like fresh underwear, it's no coincidence. Here's a tantalizing shot taken just before we trundled off to the car wash for degreasing:
My daughter walked by as I was busily dismembering my slumbering patient. "I think I hear Suzi crying," she offered. "Just snoring, Liz," I quickly replied. "Just snoring." She is going to be so "together" when I finally get her back together. Exciting to think about it but there is so much work ahead. Sanding, cleaning, priming and painting is only a small part of it. Reassembly will be several weekends of fussing and aligning and tweaking, I fear. I'm looking forward to it though!
