Irish Dance Music

When looking for music to purchase/download, make sure you are getting music that is appropriate speed/tempo for the level you are practicing.

Practicing with music does make a BIG difference. It helps timing and rhythm so please use music as much as you can. You can always start slow and work up to faster tempos. For example if you are just learning your Bun Grad Reel, you could start practicing with the Ard Grad Reel music as it is slower. (Slower music of the Ard Grad Reel allows for more complicated footwork).

Also try using different tunes with varying tempos/speeds so you can get used to keeping time with the music at all speeds. This is really helpful for when we are out dancing with the bands to LIVE music.

You can buy & download the music used in class:

Both of the apps have free and paid versions. The free versions have plenty of music for beginners to start off with.
