OUR MISSION
The McGovern Irish Dance offers exceptional Irish dance instruction for ages 4 to adult, from beginner to championship levels. We strive to develop the self-esteem, confidence, and Irish dance skills of each dancer in a positive, nurturing environment where all of our students can reach their full potential.
We work to instill a sense of unity and friendship among our students and their families through a variety of Irish cultural events such as the Dayton Celtic Festival, Ohio Celtic Fest, Dayton’s A World A’fair, Troy Festival of Nations, Global Fest in West Lafayette IN and more. Our dancers also have several opportunities to participate in local, national and international Irish dance competitions.
We take Irish dance seriously, but that doesn’t mean our students don’t have fun! The shared experiences of preparing for performances and competitions, congratulating your friends on their competitive wins and loving them through their losses, hours together in the studios and the adventures of travel have created life -long friendships that extend far beyond the studio walls. McGovern Ceili Dancers who have gone on to other studies and professions hang onto the memories and friends they have made through Irish dance and know they always have a home at the McGovern Ceili Dancers.
No matter which of our 4 locations you happen to be, you will meet dancers that “Live, Laugh, Love Irish Dance” We look forward to sharing our Irish dance experience with you! New students are always welcome!
