FREE ONLINE TUTORING SERVICES FOR MCS SCHOOLS

All McDowell County students already have a McDowell County Public Library account. Just use your lunch number to use library computers, check out items, or access online resources from your local public library. 

WHAT CAN THEY CHECK OUT?

With a StudentAccess account, every student will be able to check out up to 10 books or audiobooks at a time. Their number will also sign them on to library computers and will allow access to online resources.

To locate nearby free meal sites for kids, a texting tool is available. Simply text FOODNC to 877-877, or in Spanish, COMIDA to 877-877.

No Kid Hungry has created a map of local school sites, community organizations and food assistance programs across NC where families can access food.  The map can be viewed at this link: http://nokidhungrync.org/covid19

Parents may also call 2-1-1 to speak with an operator who will help them locate meal sites in their community.  The 2-1-1 service is available 24/7. Services are provided in English, Spanish and many other languages.
