About Me:

Welcome to fifth grade! I am honored to be your child’s teacher this year. It’s going to be a great year!

I began my teaching career twenty-one years ago at Fairview Elementary; teaching first, second, third and fourth grade. This is my eleventh year as a fifth grade teacher at Lakeview Elementary. I am so happy to be here. Fifth grade is such a fun age. The students are sweet, energetic and excited to learn.

I graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in education. I have also completed my Master’s degree.

My husband, Eric, and I have two children. Christopher is a sophomore in college this year, and Matthew is a sophomore at Bloomington High School South.

8. I enjoy reading historical fiction…history is the BEST!

7. My favorite color is orange…just a coincidence that I work at Lakeview.

6. I have the greatest dog in the world… Lucy.

5. I have two of the sweetest boys ever…Christopher and Matthew.

4. Toads are my favorite animals (not frogs). I have a big, fat one living in my flower bed. I feed him bugs and worms in the summer.

2. I think kids are AWESOME and I’m so lucky to spend time with them everyday!
