Students should take sufficient and suitable clothing so that they may participate fully in the outdoor program. Remember – Weather is unpredictable! Fall/Winter at Bradford Woods can be pretty cold or fall-like temperatures. Hikes and regular activities will be conducted in any weather except the most severe. PLEASE PACK ACCORDINGLY-CHECK THE WEATHER BEFORE. Personal items which each child takes to camp should include the items listed below. Student gear should be packed in a duffle bag, backpack, or old suitcase. All clothing and equipment, and whatever it is packed in, SHOULD BE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH THE STUDENT’S NAME and CABIN NAME.
__2 Blankets and sheets, or 1 sleeping bag packed in a heavy duty trash bag.
__ Pillow and pillow case, if desired (put in trash bag as well, we’ve had wet pillows)
__AT LEAST 2 changes of outer and under clothing. Thick pants and long-sleeved shirts are strongly recommended – layers are important
__1 warm coat and 2 layers of sweaters or sweatshirts
__ 1 pair of old walking shoes for hiking in bad weather and 1 pair of old boots or old shoes to walk through the mud and water
__ 1 warm hat and pair of gloves
__ 1 rain coat or poncho
__Sleepwear
__Towel, washcloth, soap, comb toothbrush, toothpaste, and other personal articles
__1 reusable water bottle for trail use everyday
__Spiral notebook and pencils if students want to take notes on the lessons
__Postcards or stationary with stamps if you want to mail a letter home
__ Book to read or deck of cards for cabin time
__Cinch sack to carry small items on the trail
__NON-AEROSOL INSECT REPELLANT!
__ Two extra trash bags – one for dirty clothes and one for the sleeping bag on the way home

Money, you won’t need any. Please don’t take radios, electronic games, NO CELL PHONES, flashlights, any CANDY OR GUM, fishing equipment, knives, electric hair dryers, curling irons, and no shaving cream.
