What are Unified Sports? Unified Sports was first developed in a partnership between Indiana high schools and Special Olympics as a way for all students to experience sports training and competition that encourages friendships and partnerships to flourish. Unified Track allows students with and without disabilities to represent their high school while competing with other students from other Indiana high schools. The ultimate goal is to maintain an atmosphere of acceptance and respect at our school and in our community.
What is Unified Track and Field ? Unified Track and Field consists of Unified Student Athletes and Unified Student Partners. This is not a substitute for Varsity Track and Field, but it is entirely its own team.
Track events include:
100 meter Dash
400 meter Dash
400 meter relay (a team event, 1 for the girls and 1 for the boys).
The field events include:
Shot Put (4kg)
Long Jump
