On December 5th, 2024, our first Steering Committee / Advisory Council convened. This meeting focused on critical updates and updating internal and external stakeholders about our progress in our district’s transformation to be more career and community connected. The agenda included sharing updates from tactical teams, outlining progress on Year 1 goals, and addressing outstanding “To-Dos” to ensure milestones are met. A student panel Q&A, with questions asked by advisory board members, provided valuable insights into student experiences and priorities. The meeting concluded with a discussion on funding sponsorship levels, exploring strategies to secure and optimize financial support for future projects.
The 2024-2025 school year will begin implementation of our Master Plan. Here are some highlights.
Student Learning Communities will begin at Cascade High School
Cascade Middle School will start implementing our World Changers Non-Profit Engagement Program with a "See, Do, Change" approach.
Mill Creek East and West Elementary will continue our Focused Field Experiences building off of what was started last year.

On March 18, 2024, our stakeholders gathered for a third time for Master Planning. During this time, tactic teams presented our current priorities and tasks for feedback from different stakeholder groups. The work from all three master planning days will guide our district through the next three years and beyond.
This is a recap of updates between MP1 and MP2. It included a lot of training from CIESC: Freshman SLC Quarterly Trainings, College and Career Readiness Workshop, SLC Teaming training, Critical Hour Tactic Team Presentations with Feedback, joining the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, Community Partnership Meeting, SLC Counselor Training + More.

During this time tactic teams will prioritize goals and tasks to address transformation outcomes embodied in our vision statement and portrait of a graduate. On January 24-26, 2023, the Ford NGL Team conducted their Explore Visit of Mill Creek Community Schools to gain a better understanding of our schools and community. They conducted administration, parent, student, and teacher focus groups at each school. They also met with local area businesses. Thank you everyone so much for your flexibility, willingness to help, and participation. We'll get the findings back within 2-3 weeks.
