Structured workplace learning provides students with the opportunity to integrate on-the-job experience with secondary study.

This Structured Workplace Learning Arrangement Form form must be completed and signed before the structured workplace learning commences. It must be signed by:

• the employer

• the student

• the parent/guardian of the student — if the student is under 18 years of age

• the Principal or Acting Principal — this authority cannot be delegated to an Assistant Principal or other member of staff

THIS IS A VITAL PART OF A STUDENT VCAL PROGRAM!

Students will be coached and mentored in class to help find suitable and appropriate work placements. These placements provide invaluable experience in different industries and give student confidence to attempt new and meaningful jobs.

Students that do not have a work placement organised by Week 4 of Term 1 will be required to complete a REMOTE SWL UNIT of work from home on their allotted SWL day.

Work placement Days for VCAL students are currently:

• Foundation - Tuesday

• Intermediate - Friday

• Senior - Friday
