The co-curricular programs at Marist College Canberra provide extension to our curricular programs. Each year the list of small ensembles and programs changes in order to reflect the particular interests of students.
Each ensemble or program has its own schedule of rehearsals and performances throughout the year. The College presents events such as musicals, plays, regional tours, inter-college festivals, revues and other performances.
Drum Line
Open to any student learning any instrument through our private tuition program or externally to the College. Drum Line is an American-style drum corps ensemble that prioritises discipline, teamwork, communication, coordination and high energy physical performance.
Drum Line performs at major sporting events, College functions and competitive events. In addition to performance, the ensemble members are coached in percussion rudiments and stick technique, movement routines, and maintenance of the drums.
Junior Flute Ensemble
Open to any student learning the flute, piccolo or alto flute through our private tuition program or externally to the College. Placement in the Junior or Senior ensemble is based on age and level of achievement.
