The next co-curricular large ensemble season is JULY 2026 to JUNE 2027
Closing date for MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORMS is FRIDAY WEEK 15 2026
In-person Auditions will take place on THURSDAY WEEK 16 from 7:00am to 8:30am
This auditions process is for students wishing to become members of:
Senior Concert Band
Middle Years Jazz Band
Important note on Senior Jazz Band:
The Senior Jazz Band is a sub-group of the Senior Concert Band.
Only members of the Senior Concert Band can take up positions in the Senior Jazz Band.

Year 12 and are currently in the ensemble:
✅ Membership Application Form required
❌ Audition not required
You'll continue in your current position within the ensemble until you graduate.
Year 12 and not currently in the ensemble:
✅ Membership Application Form required
✅ In-person Audition required
You only have to submit one application during all of your time in Year 11 and 12 to be considered.
Year 11 and are currently in the ensemble:
✅ Membership Application Form required
✅ In-person Audition required
You only have to submit one audition upload during all of your time in Year 11 and 12 to be considered.
This will be your last audition.
Year 11 and not currently in the ensemble:
✅ Membership Application Form required
✅ In-person Audition required

Your audition submission will be valid until the end of Term 2 in 2027.
While your audition submission is valid, you may be considered to fill a vacancy as soon as it occurs.
SENIOR CONCERT BAND: A vacancy will come about if the spot cannot be filled by a Year 11 or 12 student or a student leaves.
Years 7-10 and not currently in the ensemble:

Your audition submission will be valid until the end of Term 2 in 2027.
While your audition submission is valid, you may be considered to fill a vacancy as soon as it occurs.
SENIOR CONCERT BAND: A vacancy will come about if the spot cannot be filled by a Year 11 or 12 student or a student leaves.
Students must successfully pass their audition to be accepted into the ensemble.
Being asked to submit an audition application or submitting an audition application does not constitute automatic entry into the ensemble.
The results of the auditions process are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding seating positions or other results.
In the audition, students must present:
An own-choice solo (1-2 minutes max)
Prescribed scales as mentioned on the audition excerpt sheet

Students auditioning for Middle Years Jazz Band only need to prepare the first page.
