Department of Electronics and Computer Maintenance, in association with School of Computer Applications UC College, Aluva organized a webinar on "Linux System Administration "on 19th February 2022 through Google Meet.

12 students from the 2022 pass out batches  got placed at Aspire systems , a well known IT service management company headquartered in Chennai.

Department celebrated International Mother Language Day 2020 - Mathrubhasha Diwas on 21 February. The theme for this year celebration was “Using technology for multilingual learning: Challenges and opportunities” . Students took a Language pledge at 11 a.m. as directed from the Higher Education Department. Students also took part in various competitions conducted by the department. 

17 students secured placement offer from Orion Innovations Pvt Ltd.  82 students attended the first level aptitude test and 32 shortlisted for interview.  

Department celebrated International women's day of the year on March 8 , 2022 with following Programmes .

In continuation to Womens day Celebrations department organized an event to felicitate Dr. Susan Eapen on March 10. 2022 at 11.30 am.

She is 15th Batch BARC Training School Scientist in ‘Biology and Radio-biology’, and retired in the year 2011. Currently she is engaged in motivating scientific temper among faculty and students at Union Christian College, Aluva as an Adjunct Professor in Biosciences Group. 

Stanford University has recently included Dr. Susan Eapen in the World 2% top ranking Scientists in the category ‘Plant Biology and Botany’. 

Also she is one among the 75 women honored on the occasion of India’s 75th Anniversary of Independence. Congratulations. 

Mr. Mohammed Rami (2016-19) has given a training on interview preparation for students who got shortlisted  in recruitment test conducted by Innovature technologies Ltd on March 31, 2022

NEST Digitals Conducted online test on June 25, 2022. 52 students from various colleges including 5 students from our college cleared the test and selected for next level of recruitment process. They conducted the remaining process of recruitment at our campus on June 30, 2022. 38 students received the placement offers. Ms. Alana Varghese, Ms. Sneha Varghese, Ms. Sona Ashok, Ms. Amrutha  A R and Mr Amal Prakash are the students from our college.

Orion Innovations Pvt Ltd has given the Pre Placement Talk for 2023 batch as the first step of their recruitment process. Mr. Arun (Senior HR), Ms. Bindu ( HR) gave a detailed description of the company and the   recruitment process. Ms. Bindya Biju, our alumnus who is working there shared her experience with the company.

Suyathi has conducted online test for the 2022 MCA batch students on July 19, 2022.

Thomsun Info Care LLC conducted a Campus Recruitment drive for MCA 2022 batch at our campus on July 21, 2022. Around 33 students participated in the drive.

The department hosted flag on 15th August 2022 and celebrated Independence day on 17th August 2022,2.00 PM at MCA seminar followed by various competitions.

We are happy to feel that all the events went as per the schedule and that we were able to complete the events in right time.

The department in association with outreach cell conducted Exposure visit and campus tour for students of Vidyadhiraja Vidyabhavan Higher Secondary School , Aluva. 50 students with two staffs attended the same.The meeting starts with welcome note by Dr.A V Alex , Director of MCA .The program contains two sessions with the first session conducted by the final year students of MCA. Mr.Akhil Dev ,MCA Student ,introduced the students regarding "How to set up a mobile game" and Mr.Vimal V P ,MCA Student , taught about "Introduction to IoT". The second session was campus visit were the students explored UCC campus.The event came to an end at 1.30 PM followed by lunch.

The batch of 2022-'24 was formally inaugurated on 12th October 2022 at MCA Department,Union Christian College, Aluva. The ceremony was attended by the new batch of students along with their parents,faculty, and staff of department at MCA seminar hall.District Collector,Dr.Renu Raj was the chief guest.The inaugural ceremony starts with prayer service followed by formal inaugural function.Respected chief guest Dr.Renu Raj delivered the inaugural address.The ceremony continued with Key note address delivered by Mr.Sreesankar , Chief Technolgist - Life Science Product,Emerson.The meeting came to an end with vote of thanks followed by Lunch.

The second day of orientation program was conducted by our department on October 14th,2022 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Training on Yoga" which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Mr. Varghese Vahoor Unnippasseril, Retd. Yoga Trainer, Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan  .The first session came to a close at 11.30 am .The second session "Mentor Group Interaction" starts by 12.00 PM am where the students were divided into groups and interacted with the mentors assigned.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The third day of orientation program was conducted by our department on October 15th,2022 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Job Searching Techniques" which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Ms.Seethal V R , Placement Officer,U C College,Aluva .The first session came to a close at 11.30 am .The second session "Mental health and Mannerisms in Campus Life" starts by 11.30 AM am which was handled by Dr.K E Leelamma,Retd Professor, Department of Psychology ,U C College,Aluva .

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The fourth day of orientation program was conducted by our department on October 16th,2022 which includes two sessions. The first session was  by HR Team Members - Aspire Systems,Kochi which starts at 9.30 am which was handled four members of the company .The first session came to a close at 12.00 pm .The second session "Universal Human Values" starts by 1.30 PM am which was handled by Dr.A V Alex,Director , U C College ,Aluva

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

"With strong wings, we fly"...

Passing out ceremony is a day devoted to celebrating an important point in students' lives . It was held at MCA Seminar hall conducted by our department at 10.00 am on October 23, 2023 to final year students(2019 Admn Batch) and 2020 Admn Batch. The ceremony started with a prayer followed by welcome address by Mrs. Divya P.B , Head of the Department for esteemed dignitaries on the dais, students and faculty members. The Principal Dr.M.I Punnoose presided the programme and the ceremony was graced with blessings of God with lighting the lamp by Chief guest Dr. Rajan Varughese, Member Secretary, Kerala State Higher Education Council. The function proceeded with sharing a message by Rev.Thomas John , Manager to the graduating students. Dr.A.V Alex felicitate the programme. The speech was followed by certificate distribution to the graduates by the dignitaries on the dais. Around 150 students attended the event. The meeting came to an end with vote of thanks followed by Lunch

The training and placement cell in association with Mahindra Pride School of MCA organized Skill Development Program for 2021 Admission batch from 25th Oct 2022-31st Oct 2022 at MCA seminar hall.

As part of centenary celebration union christian college has planned to exhibit a 7 days exhibition "Centennial Vista" from 7th Nov 2022-12th Nov 2022 and principal conducted a meeting for the same with our department on 1st Nov 2022.

An Open house of 2nd  Semester  students(2021 Admission) was conducted on 31/10/2022.There were a total of 118 students in this batch. Out of these 106 students brought their parents. The remaining 12 students had taken special permission from HOD and class teachers, due to some personal problems and they will bring their parents without delay. Parents of students met the respective  teachers individually and discussed the performance of their wards. Also we shown their previous semester (SEM 1) internal marks which was sent to the university

Ananthu, sooraj and Anirudh of thirs demester(2022 admn batch)  received placement offers from nest digitals.

As part of centenary celebrations union christian college has conducted a exhibition named "Centennial Vista" from 7th November 2022-12th November 2022.Our department together with staff and students set up a stall for exhibition which includes computer gaming sessions,arts sessions and projects completed by students during there final semesters.

Sreelakshmi M P of semester 4(2020 admn) secured First prize in Individual Kumite and second prize in Individual Kata in District Karate championship held at TSGA Indoor stadium , Thriprayar. On November 13, 2022.

The Outreach and Women empowerment Cell of MCA department in association with Nanma Palliative Care ,Kadungalloor furnished Christmas provision kits to 5 needy bedridden patients who are living near our College on December 22, 2022. All students and staff contributed an affordable amount and some students  accompanied the staff to handover the kits at their home.

Christmas is the season of joy, holiday greetings exchanged, gift-giving, and families getting united.The Christmas celebrations took place in the MCA seminar hall on 23rd  December 2022. Our department has organized various programs to celebrate Christmas.All the students and faculty members were very excited and full of enthusiasm for the celebration.The celebration began with a prayer at 11.30 am. After that, various programs were organized one after the other. After that, a man disguised as Santa Claus came with a bag containing several gifts and was roaming all over the auditorium giving sweets to all the students. Also, the song Jingle Bells was playing in the background followed by Christmas special speech and cake cutting ceremony which was initiated by our HoD Mrs. Sherna Mohan and Association Convener Mrs.Thanu sudheesh along with the students.After that the department distributed cakes to all the students.The students were prepared a different and creative christmas crib and tree along with beautiful christmas card as part of competition.After that students were sang christmas carols too.By the end of the program, students made  a rhythmic dance performance on the stage.
