 First Impression Is the Last !!!

Our department in association with Mahindra Pride School organized a five days "Online Employability Training Program" from 10th-17th May 2021 for our fifth semester students(Final Year) via Google Meet platform. Training help our students to identify the job candidate's employability skills, combines them with improved self-awareness, and prepares them for their graduate job search. Ms. Shana Sam, Mahindra Pride School was the resource person. 

Our department in association with Pragmatix Solutions organized a three days "Aptitude Refreshment Training" from 8th-10th June 2021 for our fifth semester students (Final Year) via Google Meet platform. For placements, aptitude is necessary to assess the applicant's problem solving and reasoning abilities. Training helps our student's to enhance their knowledge in problem solving and reasoning abilities.

Congrats to Mr. Joel P Jacob ( 2019 MCA Batch) first prize winner of "Poster Making Competition" in the Tech fest "AGREYA 2K21"   conducted by SNGIST

Our department successfully organized two day Tech event "Cognitia 2021 " on, 1st-2nd September ,2021 virtually via Google Meet platform and Instagram .A number of participants submitted their responses for the participation through online. Every participants wins the heart of everyone and rewarded with Appreciation Certificates. 

As the whole day became witnesses of many memorable moments and leads many new thoughts that will be fulfilling as future expectations.

Congratulations our students Manu Prasad M N & Ajmal Johnson of Second Semester(2020 Bath) for participating in "National Level Online HACKATHON" conducted by St.Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda!!! 

Training and Placement Cell MCA operates round the year to provide not only job opportunities to the final year students but also internships to all the students of the department under the supervision of Placement Cell Coordinator Mrs. Divya P B,HOD,MCA. It serves as an interface between the students and the Corporates. We aim to invite companies from various fields in software order to make range of opportunities available for the students .

The Placement Cell has had another fruitful year of placements and internships as several regular as well as new companies visited the campus for the recruitment drive. We saw a huge surge in the paid & unpaid internship opportunities for students .

"It's Time to Farewell... "

Our department has organized a farewell party for Mrs. Sanila S ,Assistant Professor & Mr. Sanjo Stephen ,Lab Assistant to wish them a great future. The program started at 11.00 am with a prayer followed by delivering a few soothing messages by the our director Dr. A V Alex & our HOD Mrs. Divya P B. Department arranged cakes and Sanila Mam arranged lunch for the colleagues and the event ended with an emotional note. 

Three weeks induction program was conducted by our department for the first semester batch(2021 admission) from 3rd November 2021- 24th November 2021.The meeting starts at 9.30 am with prayer service which was lead by our Manager Rev. Thomas T John followed by formal inaugural function. Mr. Sunil Jose ,Associate Vice President & D C Head , Infosys, Trivandrum was the chief guest of the day. The inauguration ends with a key not address which was delivered by  Mr. Sunil Jose.

The third day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 8th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Training on Yoga" which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Mr. Varghese Vahoor Unnippasseril, Retd. Yoga Trainer, Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan  .The first session came to a close at 11.30 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Dr. A V Alex , Manager, Dept. of MCA, U C College and he discussed some important points on topic "Importance of Universal Human Values" and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The fourth day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 9th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Training on Yoga" which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Mr. Varghese Vahoor Unnippasseril, Retd. Yoga Trainer, Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan  .The first session came to a close at 11.00 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Dr. Neelima Renjith , Assistant Professor, Dept. of Psychology, U C and she discussed some important points on topic "Role of parents in transition of students to professionals " and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The fifth day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 10th,2021 which includes a single sessions. The meeting starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Mr. Sreesankar S, Chief Innovation Officer, Knowledge Lens on the topic "Where would you like to grow from here" and the session came to a close at 12.30 pm.

The session was very lively and informative!!!

The sixth day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 11th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Introduction to Business Information System" which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Dr. P. Prasannavadanan Thampi, Former VP, Oracle and a Training and Research Professional   .The first session came to a close at 11.30 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Mr. Mahesh S R(Alumnus 2001 MCA Batch),VP - Customer success at Fluxa (knowledge lens)  and he discussed some important points on topic "Life Beyond Classroom" and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The seventh day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 12th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Universal Human Values-Part 2 " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Dr. A V Alex, Director , Dept of MCA, U C College  .The first session came to a close at 11.30 am .The second session starts by 11.00 am by Mr. Mohanlal S Nair, Enterprise Cloud Solution Architect, TCS )  and he discussed some important points on topic "Engineering Culture in IT " and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

Maxwell GeoSystems has conducted Campus recruitment drive on 13th November 2021 at our department. Panel of twenty six employees from the company came for searching suitable talent by conducting student interviews for software developer, Business Analytics etc. Many students from our department and other colleges attended the drive.

The eight-th day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 15th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Job Searching Techniques  " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Ms. Seethal V R , Placement Officer, U C College   .The first session came to a close at 12.00 Pm .

The session were very lively and informative!!!

The ninth day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 16th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Start-up Insights  " which starts at 10.00 am which was handled by Mr. Anoop Ramakrishnan, Co-Founder, ROADE LABS PVT LTD   .The first session came to a close at 11.00 am .The second session starts by 11.15 am by Mr.Arun Raj Ooralath, Solution Architect, RoadE Labs PVT LTD   and he discussed some important points on topic "Technology Trends in making Career  " and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The tenth day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 17th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Business Communication " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Ms. Seethal V R, Placement Officer, Union Christian College, Aluva   .The first session came to a close at 11.00 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Mr.Azeez Chollampat,President and CEO, Exalture Software Labs Inc  and he discussed some important points on topic " What Current IT Markets Holds for You" and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The 11th day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 18th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Artificial Intelligence-The key accelerator for digital transformation " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Ms. Jyotsna Ravi, Sr.Customer Engineer, Microsoft   .The first session came to a close at 11.00 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Mr.Vino Alex, Staff Cloud Native Architect , V M Ware and he discussed some important points on topic " Prepare yourself to face the challenge " and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The 12th day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 19th,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Introduction to Swayam-Online Learning Platform " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Ms. Gincy Abraham, Dept of CS,U C College,Aluva  .The first session came to a close at 11.00 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Mrs.Veena Jose,Associate Professor,Dept of MCA,U C College,Aluva and she discussed some important points on topic " An Insight into MCA@UCC " and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

Both the sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The 13th day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 22nd ,2021 which includes two sessions. The first session was  on topic "Personal Presentational Skill " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Ms. Reena John, Senior Lead Offficer & Mentor,Envest Asset Management Pvt Ltd  .The first session came to a close at 11.00 am .The second session starts by 11.30 am by Mr.Sukrith B, Dept of Maths,Amrutha Vishwa Vidhyapeedam and he discussed some important points on topic " An Insight into Cyberforensic & Cyber Security" and the second session came to a close at 12.30pm.

The 14th day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 23rd ,2021 which includes one sessions. The first session was  on topic "Opportunities Everywhere " which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Mr. Sanjay Varier, Director of Engineering, WESCO Distribution

The 15th day of orientation program was conducted by our department on November 24th ,2021 which includes one sessions. The first session was  on topic "Ethics, Manners & Etiquettess" which starts at 9.30 am which was handled by Mrs.Divya P B,HOD, Dept of MCA,U C College, Aluva

The sessions were very lively and informative!!!

The month of December brings a lot of warmth, hope and glad tidings. This year on 23rd December 2021, our department has organized a program to celebrate Christmas. The celebration was held in our seminar hall. The ceremony began with prayer at 11:00am. After that, various programs were organized one after the other. A student dressed as Santa Claus paraded through the auditorium cheering and singing songs of Christmas, handing out small gifts and handshakes followed by Christmas special speech and cake cutting ceremony which was initiated by our director Dr. A V Alex and our HOD, Mrs. Divya P B. By the end of the program, the department distributed cakes to all the students. 

Together we shall achieve!!!

Almost all Department faculty members work as Mentor for the courses in the areas of their expertise. The faculty Members Mrs. Divya P B and Mrs. Sherna Mohan got special recognition and certificate as “Mentor" on the subjects "Python for Data Science" and "Programming in Java".
