**I have posted some resources on Google Classroom (Reading) for students/parents to use in order to study for the Reading Test on Unit 2 - Text Set 1 that is tomorrow (Friday, October 16)

Week of October 12 - October 16:

• Students will continue learning in Unit 2 - Text Set 1.

• Essential Question: What helps an animal survive?
  Academic Vocab: camouflaged; poisonous; pounce; predator; prey; vibrations (only these 6 words will be assessed)
  Skills: Main Idea and Supporting Details; Photographs/Captions/Headings

• The test for this chapter will be on Friday, October 16th. 

• Please see attached Google Slides to study for the academic vocabulary words and the attached Google document to help as a study guide (attachments are located on Google Classroom).

Curriculum: Wonders 

Books: Wonders Reading Text; Wonders Reading & Writing Companion Workbook 

Homework & Assessments:

• Homework: Read for 20 minutes each night; study for assessments. 

• Reading assessments will be given every 10 days and cover one text set (chapter). 

• Students will be assessed on skills and knowledge from the text set. They will also read a "cold read" text and answer corresponding questions.
