Chapter 12: Metric Units of Length, Capacity, and Weight
Week of 3/23/26: chapter 12: Metric Measurements: review lessons 1-3 and begin lessons 5 and 6: converting metric units and solving measurement problems

Week of 3/30/26: Chapter 12 review. We will begin Chapter 13 on Wednesday 4/1/26. Chapter 13 will cover Area and Perimeter.
Chapter 12 unit test scheduled for Tuesday 3/31/26
Fluency:
Students will practice their fluency facts daily in class.
Weekly homework will be assigned on Monday and due the following Monday. Students are required to study their facts at home 3 days a week for 5 minutes. These will be collected weekly as a homework grade of 4 points.
Mastery of the basic math operations (adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division) will ensure that a proper foundation of knowledge is formed to build on future skills and concepts.
Students will use IXL in math class. Students are also encouraged to use IXL at home. This will allow them to practice math skills covered in class.
Students will have several opportunities for grading through classwork, homework, math facts review, quizzes, and tests. Math quizzes and tests will be given. When preparing for a quiz/test, please review the Reteaching section and practice Topic Test in the textbook. Word problems should be answered in complete sentences. All work should be shown on the test.
