Here are the criteria and CBP form for personal belongings:
Personal belongings refer to shipments being imported on behalf of a person who is either a
"returning resident" or a "non-resident arriving in the U.S." This only includes articles that
were either in the possession at the time when leaving the U.S. for the foreign country, or
owned by the person, not less than one year, while living in the foreign country. This is for
any shipment valued over $400.

● The other documentation needed is a copy of either your birth certificate, voter's
registration, or a US Passport.
● Shipments valued over $2500 will require a SNN, EIN, or tax ID.
Part I:
● Numbers 1-7 (your information and travel information)
● Number 8 (the shipment information) - MBE will fill this for you later.
Part II:
● Number 9 (your residency information)
● Number 10 (choose one of the options under A or B)
Part III:
● Fill out if applicable
Part IV:
● A, B, C, D (choose the applicable options under A, B, or C.
● For part D write "Details attached in the invoice attached along with")
Part V:
● Skip
Part VI:
● Sign and date the form
*** Please be aware that personal items shipped internationally may be subject to import duties and taxes levied by local customs. These charges are determined by the destination country's customs agency.
If you receive any communication from customs regarding these fees, please inform us immediately so we can liaise with the carrier to review the assessment and discuss available options.
Should the import fees be confirmed after our communication with the carrier, prompt payment will be required to ensure clearance of your items & the delivery of your items.
