A Community Partnership Worth Celebrating: Thank You, Brackens Painting!

We are so grateful for the incredible generosity of Brackens Painting and owner Kevin Brackens, who partnered with FOMPL and the library to give back in celebration of the library's 100th Anniversary.

Kevin and his team patched and painted damaged walls 20 feet and more above the floor in the library's beautiful two-story Reading Room, and will return multiple times over the next three years to freshen up painted areas throughout the library. What an extraordinary gift to our community!

Our Mission to Support Martinsburg – Berkeley County Public Libraries and Its Programs

The Friends of the Martinsburg Public Library is a non-profit, volunteer organization devoted to strengthening and supplementing MBCPL services through fundraising, increasing public awareness, expanding programming, and promoting use of the Library.

Supporting Martinsburg Library Through Community and Fundraising

The Friends of the Martinsburg Public Library is a volunteer-led nonprofit that works closely with the Martinsburg–Berkeley County Public Libraries (MBCPL) to support and strengthen local library services. While we operate under MBCPL’s nonprofit status, we are a separate organization with our own leadership and structure. Our role is to raise funds, grow community awareness, and help expand programs and activities that make the library a vibrant resource for everyone in Martinsburg and Berkeley County.
