An update from Friends President Marlan Green on the library’s renovation and reopening
We are excited to share an update about the Martinsburg Public Library renovation from Marlan Green, President of the Friends of the Martinsburg Public Library. The Friends of the Martinsburg Public Library is a non-profit, volunteer organization devoted to strengthening and supplementing MBCPL services through fundraising, increasing public awareness, expanding programming, and promoting use of the Library.
The Friends of the Martinsburg Public Library is a volunteer-led nonprofit that works closely with the Martinsburg–Berkeley County Public Libraries (MBCPL) to support and strengthen local library services. While we operate under MBCPL’s nonprofit status, we are a separate organization with our own leadership and structure. Our role is to raise funds, grow community awareness, and help expand programs and activities that make the library a vibrant resource for everyone in Martinsburg and Berkeley County.
