Students will walk into the Gymnasium and "tap" the LEVEL 1 CHART. This is to acknowledge that ALL rules must be followed to assure a healthy and safe environment. Failure to follow directions will lead to consequences given by Mr. Mutek, followed up with the Dean of the student's respective grade.
"Next class is a clean slate, and a new opportunity to have a better day in learning from our prior mistakes." - Mr. Mutek
At the end of each PE class, each student lines up at the door and "taps" their "Grade" based off of their overall performance to hold themselves accountable for their behavior in the class.
For a "GREAT DAY" Grade:
Student go "above and beyond" when it comes to behavior and "keeping their bodies in control with a "calm body.
Student follows all 5 Royal PE Rules as well as playing the game or activity with their best effort.
Student cleans up and lines up correctly for their teacher when it is time to leave.
For a "Meh Day"Grade:
Student does what is asked of them but may need a few redirections
Student is giving some effort to the activity and games.
Student may need some redirections when it comes to getting to their spot, cleaning up, or lining up when it is time to leave.
For a "Try Harder" Grade:
Student is struggling to follow directions and practice the Royal 5 Rules.
Student may need several redirections to get focused or may need to talk with Mr. Mutek.
Student struggles to be respectful inside and outside of the Gymnasium with themselves, a classmate, equipment, or all three.
Student also struggles with getting in line when entering or leaving the Gymnasium as well as cleaning up the equipment for the activity or game.
This is a tool and healthy area for students to go IF:
Students just need a breather! (Deep Breathing exercises)
Gym is too noisy and students need a quiet and calm environment
Student is struggling with Mr. Mutek's Directions and Redirections (Sometimes, "today isn't our day.")
Failing to follow the LEVEL 1 Chart
Jeopardizing their safety as well as others with a poor choice (mistakes happen)
A "DIVE" INTO THE CURRICULUM
THE NINJA GYM
A true test of "will" and "determination" has the students at MaST III using various strategies to start from the very far left, to navigating themselves fully across to the top right purple piece to complete the wall. If a student touches the black mat with any portion of their feet, they must start over!
The Peg Wall is definitely not for the "weak of heart." This wall allows students to utilize their strength and coordination in utilizing both hands in sliding two peg pieces from the very bottom, alllll the way to the very top (as pictured). Once the pegs have reached the top, students can also see if they can bring it back down to the opposite side they started at. Again, if a student cannot complete the wall, they must drop safely to their knees, go to the end of the line, and try again!
A true test of agility, balance, coordination, and speed will have students at MaST III zooming through an obstacle course that consist of an "Angle Run, Hurdles, Boxes, a step tower, balance beams, and leap pads... etc.
THE NINJA GYM PT 2
The extension to the Part 1 Obstacle Course, this course consist of a Rope Wall, Rings, Net Climber, Horseshoe Rope, "Blue Tower," ending with "Air Steps" and "Monkey Bars" that move up and down when students are on them. Students will need to use the blue barriers as resting stations, because this station is a TRUE test of STRENGTH!
This final station is exactly as how it sounds... it's the Grand Finale! Students will try and run up using a clear ramp-way and see if they can muster up and touch the very top. A hold of 3 seconds is allowed to allow the students the opportunity to land down, SAFELY using their feet.
TEAM BUILDING GAMES
I bring the video game to life!
Students partner up and scoot through an adventurous Obstacle Course to their color group cone and back
Once completed, students leave their scooter and race to their color group dot to finish.
First color group to fully complete the course, sitting on their Gym dot wins the race!
This one has been a hit!
Students start on their battleship (mat)
On the music, from their ship, students toss yarn/dodgeballs at the bowling pins placed on the ships' corners.
To "sink" the other color group's "Battleship," all pins must be knocked down.
Once all pins are down, the respective color group must head back to their Gym dot.
Final team left with any pins still up, WINS!

Students use the parachute for a variety of team activities
Each student grabs a handle and perform various movements such as small waves, big waves, whipping waves, as well as natural disaster movements. These include Tornado, Hurricane, Tsunami, and Earthquake.
Other activities student perform are "shapes," such as Umbrella and Mushroom
The fun is when we do various games inside the parachute as well as outside the parachute.
