We are trying something different this year with regard to sponsoring the fall conference in Hyannis. Rather than having a company or organization sponsor a specific aspect or event (e.g., morning coffee and pastries, meal, Sunday afternoon reception, etc.), we are asking you to contribute an amount of $500 or higher.
$500.00 sponsorship guarantees you one (1) table in the exhibition area (Crystal Room) and an opportunity to present a twenty-minute showcase on Sunday or Monday. You will also receive a list of contacts from school districts participating in the conference, and your company or organization will be listed as a proud sponsor on our website and in all publications relating to the conference.
$1,200.00 sponsorship guarantees you one (1) table in the exhibition area (Crystal Room) and an opportunity to present a twenty-minute showcase on Sunday and Monday; you will also receive a list of contacts from school districts participating in the conference, and your company or organization will be listed as a medium-level sponsor on our website and in all publications relating to the conference. We will also ask for your company or organization logo so that your organization has a presence on our website and publications.
$1,700.00 or more sponsorship guarantees you two (2) tables in the exhibition area (Crystal Room) and an opportunity to present a twenty-minute showcase on Sunday and Monday at your table in the Crystal Room. You will also have an opportunity to speak at our Sunday lunch or Sunday afternoon reception. You will also receive a list of contacts from school districts participating in the conference, and your company or organization will be listed as a top-level sponsor on our website and in all publications relating to the conference. We will also ask for your company or organization logo so that your organization has a more prominent presence on our website and publications.
Your sponsorship is greatly appreciated as it will help us fund the following:
Morning coffee and pastries each morning (Sunday and Monday) and coffee throughout the day in the Crystal Room.
Sunday buffet-style luncheon following the keynote address in the Emerald Room.
Sunday late afternoon reception and presentation of “Friends of Social Studies” Award in the Emerald Room.
Monday boxed lunches in the Emerald Room.
Monday’s EdCamp “unconference” session.
When you arrive at the Cape Codder in Hyannis, please check in with the MCSS staff at the check-in and registration table near the main lobby. Someone will direct you to the parking lot on the side of the conference center, which will take you directly to the elevators to the exhibition area (Crystal Room).
This year, we’ve built in dedicated time for all attendees to visit the exhibition area and opportunity for you, as an exhibitor, to present a twenty-minute presentation of your products and services. We’re also planning a Social Studies administrators workshop, which includes visiting the exhibition.
The twenty-minute showcase presentation times are as follows:
Sunday, October 22, 2023: 1:15 p.m. to 1:35 p.m., and 1:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Monday, October 23, 2023: 9:10 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., 9:35 a.m. to 9:55 a.m., and 11:40 a.m. to noon
Lodging at Cape Codder will be available for all presenters, attendees, exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, and staff at a discounted rate of $129.00 plus tax and fees. You must reserve a room for this discounted rate no later than September 22, 2023. To reserve online, go to www.capecodderresort.com, scroll to the bottom right of the home page where “Online Reservations” appear.
