SPRING 2021 & 2022
During the 3rd and 4th Marking Periods, the LEARN English classes experienced, discussed, and even produced ways we can communicate using media. As part of this experience, each student was tasked with creating a podcast episode. Each student was required to create a thesis statement for their episode's topic, research their topic, cite sources, plan out their episode, carry out and record their episode, edit their episode, and finally--they submitted "Show Notes" which includes: media links discussed in their episode, a sources cited page, and an overall summary. The podcasts contained in this page are the result of a great deal of work and commitment put forth by these students.
My podcast is about all the different ways football is the most physical sport. Football has nearly 4 times as many injuries than baseball. I cover all about how football has the most concussions and I cover how there are so many different factors that play into injury such as following rules, anger, and the kind of grass the field is made out of.
I chose to make it a monologue because I feel like the listeners will understand the podcast the best this way and it allows me to project my point in the clearest way possible. It also gives me the best opportunities to give facts that will help to persuade your mind into agreeing with me that football is the most physical sport.

SHOW NOTES
In my episode you will be learning and being informed how soccer is the most popular sport, my episode will consist of part interview and the other part I will be talking and informing you everything about soccer I would say my podcast episode would be worth listening to if you’re really into sports or health
I would say if you were listening to my podcast for you to skip to the interview part because it’s a really nice and cool experience talking to someone who has experience in all of this kind of stuff who’s been around the world. I’m really thankful for Ben Olsen for taking the time out of his day to help me out with my English project
Some resources are used for this podcast was www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/soccer-health-benefits#health-benefits-of-playing-soccer. I would say that this website was one of the most helpful for me specially when I was looking up health benefits I would say it was one of the most helpful websites I found for my podcast

My podcast is a debate about who the greatest basketball player of all time is (I think Kobe Bryant is the greatest player of all time). I think this is an interesting topic because I grew up watching basketball. We also talk about what makes that person the greatest basketball player ever. My format for this podcast is going to be mixed because we are going to be giving different opinions and there is going to be more than one point of view on this topic. I think this is going to be an interesting podcast because we are going to be talking about what makes him the greatest, what that player has accomplished, and was that person consistent or not.

In the pod cast we talk about some of the best big men to ever play basketball: the strongest in the paint, the best shooter, best dunker, who holds the best stats, and who is the best in our opinion. I feel like big men don't get enough love for what they have to do. How I see it, big men have to play the big brother role on the team, have to keep the team fighting, going out there playing hard, showing so much strength, showing an example. We talk from stats, to size, to dribble moves, to shooting, and to different 1v1 matchups.
