Weekly Update 10/30/26
We had a lot of fun decorating pumpkins and seeing our students in their costumes. Congratulations to Mr. Cervone's homeroom for winning the pumpkin decorating contest. Their pumpkin theme was Coraline. See some of the pictures below to see what you missed.
November is a month of giving thanks. I would like to start by thanking our parents, who send us their best every day. There is no special class or certification required to be a parent and many of us learn on the job. As much as we can talk to other parents and read books, every child is unique and every household is unique. Parenting can be exhausting and frustrating at times, but also rewarding. Thank you to our parents for being a partner in our children's education.
Important Information Regarding Intramurals
In July 2026, the New York State Education Department (SED) updated requirements for student participation in athletic based, Intramural Activities. To participate, students must have an updated physical exam on file in the Nurse's Office (valid for 12 months) and a completed Health History Form. We are currently working on a system for student registration. In the meantime, students will be able to continue their participation in intramurals.
More information is provided in the letter below and we will continue to communicate with parents as we get the Arbiter system in place.
Remember to set you clocks back one hour this weekend. Enjoy your extra sleep!
