Reaccreditation Self-Study Process 2023-2026
Overview
In Fall 2023, Marywood launched its next 10-year reaccreditation self-study process. Between 2023 and 2026, groups of Marywood faculty and staff will conduct extensive institutional research, analysis, and reflection, and complete a comprehensive Self-Study Report. The report will be peer-reviewed by our regional accrediting body, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Upon successful review, Marywood will be reaccredited through 2036.
As a MSCHE accredited institution, Marywood is expected to demonstrate compliance with the MSCHE Accreditation Standards and Requirements of Affiliation. MSCHE's newly updated standards emphasize alignment of institutional mission with priorities and planning, as well as the use of evidence and assessment with regards to resource allocation and stewardship.
This process affords Marywood, as a community, an opportunity to showcase how we continually strive to achieve our Core Value of Excellence, as well as our dedication to our Mission.

Self-Study Outcomes
By engaging in the reaccreditation self-study process Marywood will:
Demonstrate how the institution currently meets the Commission’s Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation
Focus on continuous improvement in the attainment of the institution’s mission and its institutional priorities.
Engage the institutional community in an inclusive and transparent self-appraisal process that actively and deliberately seeks to involve members from all areas of the institutional community.
Leverage the process to identify current priorities, opportunities, and gaps, and use our collective findings and recommendations to inform and develop the institution’s next Strategic Plan.
