Communication
Parent & Band Director Communication
Strong communication between families and the band program is very important to me. I truly value partnering with parents and guardians to support our students, and I want you to feel comfortable reaching out whenever you have questions, concerns, or information you need to share. Keeping the lines of communication open helps us work together in the best interest of every student.
To make communication as accessible as possible, I offer multiple ways for parents to contact me. I regularly check messages during the school day and do my best to respond as promptly as I can. If you reach out after school hours or on a non-school day, please know that I will respond at the next available opportunity during the school day.
Thank you for your support, understanding, and continued partnership in our band program. I appreciate your communication and look forward to working together to help our students grow, both musically and personally.
Below you will find the five different ways you can contact me and how I will share information with parents.
You can also text me at my Google Voice Number (see syllabus for number, if I put it here I will get random texts that are not from parents)
PBIS Rewards (if you have not downloaded the app, please speak with your child's homeroom teacher and they can give you a handout that explains how to sign up for it to communicate with your teachers as well)
Class Dojo
The best way to stay up to date on events, communication, trips, fundraisers, etc.... is through class dojo.
I do my best to make sure parents know what is going on in class, I post Class Story's with Flyers, and you can communicate by chatting with me on Class Dojo. In addition to that there is also an events calendar which I also use to keep everyone up to date.
Please join class dojo if you have not already. Let me know if you need the code to do so, I am happy to share that with you.
Email me at my school email address (see syllabus for address, again if I put it here I will get random texts that are not from parents)
Call the School (you can also call the school to leave a message, however, my classroom phone is not working, so this would be the slowest way for me to respond)
