NCBMA Eastern District All-District Band
The NCBMA Eastern District All-District Band is an incredible opportunity for dedicated young musicians to challenge themselves and perform at a high level. Each year, students from across Eastern North Carolina audition for a coveted spot in one of the district’s honor bands. Those selected have the privilege of working with outstanding guest conductors and performing alongside some of the most talented student musicians in the region.
Being a part of All-District Band is more than just an honor—it is an experience that pushes students to grow. Preparing for the audition encourages strong practice habits, goal-setting, and musical independence. Once selected, students are immersed in a fast-paced and rewarding environment that elevates their musicianship and builds confidence.
This year, we are proud to celebrate Nick Goddard, who earned 4th chair in the Symphonic Band—the top middle school band in the district. His achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication that All-District Band represents, and we hope it inspires many more of our students to audition in the future.
The event takes place over a weekend, with students missing school on Friday to participate in rehearsals, followed by a full day clinic on Saturday and a culminating concert for families. It is a memorable and enriching experience that leaves a lasting impact on every student involved.
If you are looking to grow as a musician, challenge yourself, and be part of something special, we encourage you to audition for All-District Band!
