Community Outreach

Community outreach is an important part of our band program and a meaningful way for our students to learn the value of service, empathy, and giving back. This year, our band is in the planning stages of a community outreach project focused on supporting our local food bank. In addition to collecting food donations, we are exploring opportunities for students to participate in hands-on service so they can contribute in ways that go beyond collection alone.

Last year, our students experienced the impact of service firsthand when they visited a local nursing home to go Christmas caroling and deliver donated gifts along with handmade Christmas cards. It was a powerful and memorable experience that taught many students just how meaningful small acts of kindness can be (see photos below). Building on that experience, we look forward to expanding our outreach efforts this year and continuing to explore new ways our band can serve and support our community.
