At our school, we are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment where every child is valued, listened to and given the opportunity to thrive.
We recognise that every child is unique, and some children may need additional support to access their learning, develop their confidence or overcome barriers. Our Special Educational Needs (SEN) team works closely with children, families, class teachers and external professionals to ensure that the right support is in place for each individual child.
Our SEN Team
Sophie Bugg – Head of School / SENCO
Miss Bugg oversees our SEN provision and works closely with pupils, families and staff to ensure that children with additional needs receive appropriate support. She also coordinates with external professionals and helps to ensure that our SEN provision reflects the needs of our pupils.
Katy Savage – Deputy SENCO
Mrs Savage works alongside Miss Bugg to support the coordination and delivery of SEN provision across the school. She works closely with staff, pupils and families to help ensure that children receive the support they need.
Your Child's Class Teacher
Your child's class teacher is always the first point of contact if you have concerns about your child's learning, development or additional needs. Class teachers know your child well and are best placed to discuss their progress, strengths and any areas where they may require additional support.
If your child is experiencing difficulties or you have concerns about their learning, we encourage you to speak to their class teacher in the first instance. Where further support or advice is needed, the class teacher can work with our SEN team to identify appropriate next steps.
We believe that working together with families is key to supporting children effectively. By sharing information, listening to concerns and celebrating each child's strengths, we can create a positive and supportive experience for every child.
