The Business Academy at MRHS prepares students for the ever-changing world of business! Recent developments in our program include a Supply Chain Management pathway, earning students three (3) college credits at Rutgers Business School. Also, recently opened from the ground up in November 2022, students are now operating their very own retail store, the Husky Fan Shop, as a new work-based learning component to the program!
With goals to own a business and/or work for multinational corporations, students dive into learning both the social and technical components of the business world. Coursework is not limited to management, marketing, supply chain management, stock market analysis, accounting, computer applications, and an advanced capstone course. Using in-class simulations, cases, a New Jersey State registered business to operate, along with trips, guest speakers, and advisory committees, students have various unique and specialized learning opportunities to experience various careers in business, while also working in teams, practicing essential leadership skills, drafting business proposals and marketing plans, and putting their skills to practice in their Junior and Senior year while managing The Husky Fan Shop!
