Prevention Education

Marin TUPE uses prevention education and intervention developed from Stanford University's REACH Lab (Research and Education to Empower Adolescents and Young Adults to Choose Health). All of the curriculum options below are evidence-informed and evidence-based and are free and available online. Resources are for TUPE Coordinators, health educators, counselors, wellness coordinators, site administrators, healthcare providers, or anyone working with youth. The objective of the curriculum is for students in middle and high school grades to understand information about different drugs, gain awareness of marketing strategies used to lure youth to substance use and gain skills to refuse experimentation. The curriculums provide critical lessons explaining adolescent brain development and addiction, positive youth development, and health effects.
