Mission BEyond, a new branch of the award winning Warriors BEyond program, is an opportunity for students to continue their learning with new hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that challenge students to think creatively, think big, and most importantly have fun! All missions are based on the Warriors BEyond pillars! Below are the requirements for your child!

MISSION: MY OBSTACLE
Your mission is to design, create and than take on your very own obstacle course! Make sure to watch the intro video as your obstacle course must include a few elements, but don't worry you have plenty of opportunity to use your imagination and creativity! Post a video of you or a family member completing your obstacle course on the FlipGrid!
MISSION: RACE ACROSS AMERICA
Ready. Set. Go. Mariemont, lets get moving! Our challenge is to create your score sheet! Planks, push ups, and broad jumps! Record your results and post them to the FlipGrid! Originally this was going to be a classroom competition, but how about a personal competition? Challenge a family member, a friend or your classmates! Make sure to post your results to the flipgrid!

MISSION: PAPER BRIDGE
Put on your hardhat and show off your engineering skills with Mr. Jake. You need to create a bridge completely made of paper! That is right, no glue, no tape, no extra materials! All you can use is paper! watch this video for additional ways you can create paper bridges (Powerful Paper Bridges). During the video you will learn serval ways that bridges are built and what makes them strong. After watching, your mission is to build your very own paper bridge and put them through stress tests! Post your completed bridge on our FlipGrid!
MISSION: BAR OF SOAP "RUBE GOLDBERG" VIDEO CHALLENGE
Your mission is to build a Rube Goldberg Rube Goldberg "machine" that will drop a bar of soap into someones hand! What is a Rube Goldberg Machine? Complete the current Mission and submit your Bar of Soap challenge to the FlipGrid!& also by emailing your submission to rubefamilychallenge@rubegoldberg.com!

MISSION: TRAVEL THE WORLD
Your mission is to pick a country where you would like to travel and learn all you can about it. Your mission is to find an authentic recipe and try to make it; learn and perform a dance connected to this country; share some basic phrases travelers should know when they visit; create a travel brochure / video / trailer / or create a commercial to advertise traveling to the country - including key information to know and places to see. Post your evidence of completion to the FlipGrid!
MISSION: POLLINATORS
Join Syl Ross the Science Boss as she explores nature and teaches you about some of the cool adaptations that happen in Spring! Your mission is to create a pollinator water dish in your back yard to encourage pollinators in your own yard! Post your pollinator water dish on the FlipGrid!

MISSION: POETRY SLAM
Your mission is to head over to Poetry4Kids.com and find 5 poems that stand out to you! Once you have read the poems, pick your favorite and memorize it! Post your recited poem to the Flipgrid! Bonus Challenge: Find the "Secret page" that Mr. Nesbitt created just for our Mission and say the special word in your poem! Are you inspired yet? Good, we are too. See if you can write your own poem as well and post yourself reciting the poem or even a picture of a poem you wrote to the FlipGrid!
MISSION: PEN TO PAD
Grace Fening, a Mariemont graduate is a professional artist! Her specialty is one line drawings. Your mission is to create a your own one line drawing of your pet, a family member, or your favorite teacher! Once students complete their drawing, write 3 reasons why you choose that subject to draw! Make sure to check out Grace Fenings website for some inspiration! Post your picture on the FlipGrid!

MISSION: SHOE DESIGN
Adidas and Parlay are turning marine pollution (waste) into shoes! Watch this video about what Parlay and Adidas are doing with marine pollution and how they are recycling the waste. Watching this video we were inspired to create our own shoe! If you could design and make your own shoe what would your design look like? Your mission is to draw, create or use one of the online generators to create your own shoe (Nike or Converse). Make sure you share your design on our FlipGrid!
MISSION: SUSTAINABLE PAPER
In this video segment adapted from ZOOM, cast members demonstrate how something that might otherwise be discarded, such as newspaper, can be recycled to create a functional or even beneficial new product. Your mission is to make your own recycled paper! Write a message on your new paper and post the picture to the FlipGrid!
