School Dances
DANCES
All school discipline rules will be in effect during dances. If a student is involved in a disciplinary action, the student will be told to leave the dance and money will not be refunded.
Dress codes for dances are enforced and students wearing inappropriate attire may be sent home.
Students who leave a dance will not be allowed back into the building.
Only Merrill High School students and graduates from the current calendar year may attend the Homecoming Dance. Graduates who plan to attend must follow the dance guest protocol (form filled out and turned in to the office prior to the dance).
Merrill High School students may bring a guest to “Peppermint” (winter dance) and Prom with administrative approval. The MHS student must properly fill out and turn in a permission form to the main office prior to the day of the dance.
Guests must be no older than 19 years old.
Provide a form of identification to be left with the dance supervisors.
Accompanied by a current Merrill High School student.
Middle School age students are not allowed to attend dances.
DRESS CODE FOR DANCES
Dress at dances should be appropriate. Merrill High School administration/staff will make a final determination if student attire is questionable. If students are unsure of their attire being compliant with expectations, they should check with school administration well before the night of the dance.
*Administration reserves the right to deny any person(s) admittance to the dance.
