The Maple Lake Sideline Team cheers for and supports the Maple Lake High School Varsity football team. We cheer at all games (home and away) and support or Irish football team!
The sideline program is considered a club, and is not ran through the school. We are a private club, with our own insurance and our own 501c3. Our director is Justin Larson, who is a teacher at Maple Lake High School.
Other than cheering for football, we are active in our community and particpate in local parades, homecoming festivities, and in other community events. We are proud to serve our school and our community!
If you are interested in the 2026 football season, we will have an interest meeting in April, and our Commitment Day will be May 3rd where cheerleaders can come in and try cheerleading!
Our program is considered a club, so we are completely self-sufficient. We raise funds to help pay for safety mats, uniforms, facility usage, coaching and other program expenses.  Our 2 biggest fundraisers are working for the Graniteman Triathlons and Earth Day Run and working the concession stand for Maple Lake HS.  We are looking for a parent or group of parents to help us with earning more funds for our families for cheer!
It costs our program around $9000 to operate each season, with the largest chunk of that going towards transportation ($2000-$2500). That cost is split up among the girls after we subtract all the fundraising we do with concessions. Â
All cheerleaders will owe a $150 registration fee in April/May, and:
Clothing - $280 (A practice outfit, warm leggings and headband for cold games, tights, bows, socks, and extra money to buy things for our themed home games (camo night, neon, pink out, etc)
A monthly tuition charged over 5 months (June 1st through October 1st), which covers the program costs. This will vary greatly based on the number of cheerleaders in our program. Â
With 16 cheerleaders, all clothing and program costs would break down to $100/month after your registration fee. This of course is with no fundraising!
All NEW cheerleaders will owe:
A $150 uniform fee that we only collect in their first year on the team. Â
Warm Up Jacket for $115. We have used the same jacket since the 2023 season.
Poms for $35. The girls keep them, and if they take care of them, they should last 2-3 years.
Cheer Shoes, which can range from $30 to $110 depending on what you want. Coach Larson will help you find some in your budget.
This will add roughly $60/month to your costs.Â
