If we do not care for ourselves, we won’t be able to properly care for others. If we cannot effectively regulate our emotions, we cannot support the regulation of others’ emotions.
It seems obvious, but too often teachers, due to their passion for supporting children, do not look after themselves and this results in poorer outcomes for everyone.
Many Hands is able to offer practical support for teachers in terms of managing challenging behaviour and dysregulated children in the classroom as well as supervision for school staff to help manage emotions and better support children.
"I worked closely with Will Ross over several years and highly recommend him. He was a phenomenal resource for the school in terms of support and training for staff. He opened our eyes to a different way of working." - Vice Principal for behaviour, attitudes and safeguarding, City of London Academy Islington
