The Mansfield Middle School Counseling Program is designed to meet the needs of the whole student. We work to do this by promoting the development of effective communication and life planning skills. These skills empower students to establish mindsets and behaviors that help them succeed in school and grow into responsible adults.
Meet Your School Counseling Team
Hello! I am Mrs. Melody, your 7th and 8th grade school counselor. I like to POWER-UP by exercising (cycling, golfing and lifting weights), practicing yoga, cooking and eating healthy foods. Mindfulness - being in the present moment - is a habit that I have embraced. I am also an avid fan of the arts. I look for art everywhere because I believe in finding beauty in all places in our world. One of my goals is to assist all students and families with accessing the resources they need and creating equity for all. Helping students look at life through a positive lens and problem-solving along with them is what I love most about my job. We all have a personal story, and I would love to hear yours. Email me at melodyem@mansfieldct.org and share yours!
Greetings! I am Mrs. Mallery, your 7th & 8th Grade School Counseling Intern. I was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica. I RECHARGE by traveling, taking walks in nature, creating art, journaling and spending time with my family.
I will be at MMS on Mondays and Tuesdays in person, and available virtually on Wednesdays. My primary role will be working with the UConn Mentoring Program. However, I will also assist with many other School Counseling initiatives. I am passionate about building confident scholars, career exploration, advocating for the well-being of all students and providing useful resources for families. If you would like to connect with me, feel free to email me at mallerys@mansfieldct.org.
I look forward to taking this journey with you all this school year!
To the MMS community -
My name is Sara Randazzo and I'm so excited to start here at MMS! I earned my bachelor's in sociology from Eastern CT State University and am currently at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford studying to be a school counselor. I have already felt such a warm welcome into the school and am eager to help and learn from the students here. In my free time I love to go on walks with my two dogs and cycle.
