Our Programs
The SMILE Project is a heart-warming initiative launched by a young visionary, Amora Singh, in 2019. This project, under the umbrella of the Home of Hope Youth Chapter, aims to revolutionize learning for children with special needs at the Manovikas Charitable Organization in Delhi. SMILE has become a symbol of hope, joy, and innovative education across continents.
Overcoming Challenges: SMILE has adapted and thrived despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The project expanded its reach through "SMILE Cities," Under the leadership of Asha Durga, an exceptional 8th-grade student, we conceptualized "SMILE Cities", a strategy to cast our net wider across the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, spreading happiness through engaging 2-minute videos.

The E3 Program: English Empowerment with Enjoyment
Speaking English can give disadvantaged children, even those with special needs, power, trust, and self-worth. The E3 program (English Empowerment with Enjoyment) makes learning conversational English a fun experience for these children. Since March 2020, under Pooja Mathur’s guidance, SMILE has broadened its educational scope to include English, Math, and General Knowledge alongside arts, music, and dance, crafting a uniquely joyful learning environment for special students. This journey has been marked by profound growth and communal joy, a testament to the project’s foundational belief in education’s accessibility, enjoyment, and individual tailoring.
