Wednesday 4 August ( previously Wednesday 5 August) – Government primary schools notify Year 6 families of their child’s Year 7 placement offer ( placement letter to be sent via email / post/ fax/ other means)
From Thursday 5 August – Secondary schools may distribute enrolment, orientation, and other transition information to parents/carers of future Year 7 students.
Monday 16 August - Closing date for parents/carers to lodge a written placement appeal with their preferred secondary school.
Friday 27 August - Secondary schools provide parents/carers with written notification of appeal outcome.
Friday 27 August - Athlete Development Class Applications close
Wednesday 1 September - Parents/Carers notified of the transition website and where to access information.
Tuesday 7 September - Closing date for parents/carers to lodge a written placement appeal with relevant Regional Director (RD).
Saturday 11th September - Enrichment class testing.
Wednesday 15th September - ADP testing; MLC students - Session 4, Other schools - 3:30pm
Friday 29 October - Regions notify parents/carers of outcome of RD appeal.
Wednesday 10th November - Parent information evening, details to be provided closer to the date.
Tuesday 7 December – Statewide Orientation Day
On this day students are required to wear their full school uniform of their current primary school. Snacks, a water bottle and BBQ lunch will be provided including vegetarian and Halal options. Students with other special dietary requirements should bring their own food.
At the January 2022 transition day your child will be provided with a tote bag that will contain a range of information that you can read at your own leisure.
