The Panathlon Foundation is a charity that gives children with different abilities and needs in England, Wales and Northern Ireland opportunities to engage in competitive sport that they are so often otherwise denied.
Panathlon reached out to teachers who have been regularly attending our competitions and asked them to nominate a pupil who has grown, excelled, overcome, and been inspired through their involvement in Panathlon.
Francis has been attending Panathlon events with me since 2019. Since then his confidence has grown exponentially and to me I can’t believe that it is the same child that I met in year 1. As well as attending extra
curricular clubs at school they also tell me that they love their weekly swimming lessons.
As one of the senior pupils in our Panathlon team, this year he was awarded the role of team captain. He makes everyone in the team feel happy and helps them to enjoy the Panathlon events. The younger pupils within the school and our Panathlon team look up to Francis and see him as a role model. Well done Francis, we are all very proud of you!
