This is a quick spot for you to find out what's happening NOW and what's coming up SOON in our Middle School Community! As always, any questions, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher.
Fourth Quarter Electives begin! -
Students choose to participate in a new elective each marking period which is focusing on serving our school community. Ask your child which elective they are serving in this marking period!
Achievement Testing
All classes, grades 5-8, will participate in Achievement Testing on April 7, 8 & 9th from approximately 8:00-10:45am. Please avoid making appointments if possible on those dates. The results of these tests provide valuable data which informs our instruction based on strengths & weaknesses identified through group & individual scores.
Field Trips!
Grades 5 & 6 will be headed to Harrisburg for a tour of the State Capitol where Michael Geer, president of PA Family Institute, will supplement the standard capitol tour with tidbits from a Christian perspective. Following the capitol visit, students will visit the PA State Museum where they will also enjoy a planetarium show. Students will arrive back at school in time for regular dismissal.
Grades 7 & 8 will be traveling to Washington DC to visit the Holocaust Museum as well as a brief walking tour of other notable monuments. See the email from Mrs. Henry & Miss Reyes with additional details for this special trip. Students will be leaving early and returning late to school.
