5th, 6th, & 7th Grade Bible

Current Unit: Patriarchal Period

In this unit, we will follow Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and his twelve sons as they settle in the land of Canaan (with a few pit stops in Egypt).

Each weekend, students are assigned to read the next passage of Scripture we are studying with someone else. Check Google Classroom for the assignment and to mark it as complete.

Additionally, students will be memorizing Scripture.  For details on the memory verses for the year, including a schedule, please see this document for 5th and 6th grade and this document for 7th grade. (NOTE: This document is the ESV but students can memorize in their family's preferred translation.)

Bible journals are to be completed each week and will be turned in periodically throughout the year. Scroll through this document to find the Bible journal instructions for your student's grade.

8th Grade Bible

Current Unit: Growth (Scripture)

Just as food helps us grow, so also the Bible is our greatest source of growth. Understanding Scripture is essential to our growth. But where did we get this Bible? How do we know it is the authoritative Word of God? During this unit, we will discuss where the Bible came from, how we can know to trust the Bible, and how the Bible describes itself.

Additionally, students will be memorizing Scripture.  For details on the memory verses for the year, including a schedule, please see this document. (NOTE: This document is the ESV but students can memorize in their family's preferred translation.)
