Speech and Language is EVERYWHERE! Here are some fun tips to keep it going while school is out:
Play “I spy”/”Headbandz”/”Guess Who” using describing words (soft/long/bumpy/noisy, etc.)
Play “Go Fish”/ Memory/ Charades/ Pictionary/ Googly eyes- all of these games are great for targeting memory, vocabulary, and expressive language while having fun.
WH questions: Ask your child a variety of WH (who, what, when, where, why, how) about shows, their day, games, or stories you have read with them. Have your child retell stories in their own words.
*If your child has limited verbal skills or is on an AAC system, please have them use their device with all of these activities as well!
