Weekly Guided Reading and shared reading slides

On the slide decks below, you will see planning for both guided and shared reading each week. We have guided reading lessons Monday - Thursday and shared reading on various days through the week. In the guided reading planning you will see which book chn are reading in their guided reading lessons, what the focus is each week and any other supporting resources. You can also click the links in the slides to see the in depth lesson by lesson planning too. For the shared reading planning you will see which text we are reading as a class, what the learning intention is, some key questions that kaiako will be asking the chn, and which follow up tasks chn will be completing.

Ready to read phonics plus books

Watch the video below to learn a little more about these particular books that your children will be bringing home sometimes. They won't always have a phonics plus books, but they will the most common type of book that they will bring home this year.
