A message from Principal Vinten
Good Morning Manara STEM Families,
The final two weeks of the third six weeks is upon us! Besides all the great academic learning occuring the next 10 days, we have some exciting events that will also be occurring on campus this week! Please see within the newsletter about our school's Penguin Patch and Winter Wonderland Family Fun Event all happening this week!
Please also help me welcome our new security officer, Officer Jones, and our new district maintenance facilitator, Mr. Dimitri to our team! I'm excited to continue to add more members to our Manara family, as the more we continue to grow, the bigger our team will continue to grow as well!
Only 10 more school days until the Winter Break! I'm looking forward to a great final two weeks of the first semester with our staff and scholars! Have a wonderful weekend!

We can't wait to have you be a part of our Winter Wonderland extravaganza!
**We are in need of clean, empty plastic water or soda bottles for the event. A box will be stationed in the front office for any donations! Thank you for saving those bottles! 🥰
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures - review
Thank you for continuing to help keep our staff and scholars safe by following our school's arrival and dismissal procedures and protocols. Please remember to enter only from Collins Street and exit onto Sublett Rd. There are rare occasions where school traffic might need to be redirected in a different pattern, but unless directed, please follow the correct entrance and exit patterns. Please also remember that kindness is key. 😁 When we all follow the rules and take turns in line, the line runs much smoother and is much less stressful.
Also, friendly reminder that per district policy, scholars will not be able to be dismissed 30 minutes before dismissal (not after 3:00pm on Monday - Thursday and not after 12:30pm on Friday's). If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mrs. Vinten to discuss.
Your help and support is very much appreciated!
Uniforms - IMPORTANT!
All students should be in uniform. Any scholar who is out of uniform will sit in the front office area until a parent brings the correct uniform piece(s) or if a parent is unable to bring the uniform, the student will be given an in-school suspension that day. It is important all scholars are following the dress code that is within the Manara handbook.
Uniform expectations:
Manara logo navy blue or gray shirt
Navy blue or gray pants
Sweatpants and jeans are NOT acceptable uniform pants
If you have any questions regarding the uniform, please reach out to Mrs. Vinten.
As the weather gets cooler, scholars will still be going outside for PE and recess. Any type of jacket is fine for outside, but if they are wanting to wear it in the building, it must be SOLID NAVY OR SOLID GRAY in color. You can order uniform jackets, but solid navy or solid gray jackets do not have to have the Manara logo on them.
