What is the EIV Baseline?
The EIV Baseline Assessment is the third and final part of our Baseline journey. Unlike ASER and the MAD-Graded Assignment, this one checks how a child performs when assessed strictly at their enrolled school grade level — just like in a traditional classroom test. This assessment includes two tests:
English (language comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, etc.)
Maths (problem-solving, computation, number sense, etc.)
It is not adaptive and not 1:1. Children solve it independently, like a written exam.
It is conducted only for children in Grades 5, 6, or 7.
Each paper takes around 60 minutes. You can start with either subject.
Step-by-Step: How to Conduct the EIV Baseline
1️⃣ Distribute the Grade-Level Sheets
Hand out the English and Maths test papers based on each child’s enrolled grade.

2️⃣ Children Attempt the Test Independently
Start with either English or Maths — your choice.
Each test takes about 60 minutes.
Once the first paper is completed, give the second.
3️⃣ Children Mark Answers Directly on the Printed Sheets
Children write their answers on the printed test sheets — no separate notebooks needed.
Once done, collect all answer sheets for safe keeping.
4️⃣ Fill the Google Form Later
You will not fill the form live during the test.
Once the session is over, use the child's completed answer sheet to fill in the responses.

📌 Note:
The form is long and detailed — this is intentional. It is designed to minimize errors while recording large amounts of MCQ-based data. Please take your time to fill it accurately.

📝 Quick Reminders
Responses should be marked on the question paper itself.
Use the MCQ input instructions: A/B/C/D, or 88 for unanswered, 86 for unclear.
Double-check you are using the correct grade-wise form.
Don’t leave any question blank in the form.
This is the final piece of the puzzle — helping us measure how far the child is from grade-level benchmarks. Even if they find this tough, it’s OK. What matters is that we see their journey clearly — from where they are to where they can go. Let’s get this last step right.
Where is the Solution Key for the EIV Assessment?
No, you do not need a solution key for the EIV assessment — and that’s why we haven’t shared one.
🔍 Why? Because you are not required to grade the assessment yourself.
Your role is simply to: Record the child’s responses exactly as they answer them — without checking or evaluating whether they are right or wrong.
These responses will be reviewed and analyzed later as part of the EIV process. So just focus on conducting the assessment and capturing the answers faithfully — no grading needed!
