Honors Jazz Audition Information

Audition Requirements

Recorded auditions may be submitted until Wednesday, February 3, 2027.

Directors: Use this Google Form to submit student audition videos.

Please make sure each student auditioning has signed the Participation Agreement.

Payment by school directors must be received by February 3, 2027 for auditions to be processed.

1. Prepare solo etude performed with accompaniment recording, improvisation optional:

2026 - 2027 "MS Etude #2"

Piano, guitar & bass: "Comping" with accompaniment

Drums: "Time with kicks" with accompaniment

2026 - 2027 "MS Etude #2"

2027 - 2028 "MS Etude #4"

2028 - 2029 "MS Etude #1"

2. Trumpet, Trombone & Saxophone:

Prepare Concert Bb, Concert F and

Concert Bb Chromatic Scales
