Honors Jazz Audition Information

Audition Requirements

Recorded auditions may be submitted until Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Directors: Use this Google Form to submit student audition videos. (link will be live on 12/1/25)

Please make sure each student auditioning has signed the Participation Agreement.

Payment by school directors must be received by March 2, 2025 for auditions to be processed.

Middle School Honors Jazz Audition Requirements:

1. Prepare solo etude performed with accompaniment recording, improvisation optional:

2025 - 2026 "MS Etude #1"

Piano, guitar & bass: "Comping" with accompaniment

Drums: "Time with kicks" with accompaniment

2025 - 2026 "MS Etude #1"

2026 - 2027 "MS Etude #2"

2027 - 2028 "MS Etude #4"

2. Trumpet, Trombone & Saxophone:

Prepare scales, TBA

3. Rhythm Section:

High School Honors Jazz Audition Requirements:

Instrumentalists:
