Complete CCPS (Centralized Clinical Placement System)
Students NEW to CCPS who have never used it before
You will register as a new student user with your @maine.edu account. Review the Detailed Instructions listed on the page - For students certifying for the first time
The site will guide you through completing four education modules. Each module consists of information to read and then a module quiz. These modules may take you several hours to complete, but you can leave and return, doing this in smaller chunks of time if you need to. You must complete all four module quizzes.
Once you have completed all four module quizzes see a page with a blue box at the bottom. In the blue box click on "click here to add an assignment to the list".
Fill in the information about your clinical assignment. You can leave the "click here if this is a precepted assignment" box empty. Then submit the form.
Now you will see a page with MaineHealth-MMC Biddeford & Sanford information. At the bottom of the page highlighted in yellow is a link "MaineHealth-MMC Biddeford & Sanford". Click on it.
You can now read all of the MMC-Biddeford & Sanford documents. Make sure to read everything that says "To be reviewed by (faculty) and Students"
IGNORE the "MMCBIDSAN Undergraduate Nursing Student-Faculty Badge Request/Access Process" document. (See BADGING to the right of this webpage. ---->)
DO NOT review either of the "New IdentityNow Registration Profess for NEW Students & Instructors" or the "MaineHealth Virtual EPIC" documents now. You'll get further info about EPIC computer system access after MaineHealth creates your accounts, which will include these documents, at a later time.
You will E-Sign in CCPS the "MaineHealth Privacy and Confidentiality" and the "MMCBIDSAN Agreement to Comply" forms that appear with an *.
IMPORTANT: at the bottom of the MMC Biddeford & Sanford page there is an acknowledgment and checkbox you must submit to indicate you have reviewed all the documents. Submitting this will generate a "ticket" of completion that shows you've finished CCPS for that facility.
You do not need to print or save this ticket. USM can see who has them in CCPS from our end of things.
RETURNING CCPS Student Users
Go to https://www.mass.edu/mcncps/orientation/welcome.asp and login to you existing CCPS account.
If it has been more than a year since you last completed the four CCPS modules/quizzes you will need to complete them again. If it has been less than a year you won't need to redo the modules and you'll be taken directly to the "add a clinical assignment to the list" page.
In the blue box choose "click here to add an assignment to the list".
Fill in the information about your clinical assignment. You can leave the "click here if this is a precepted assignment" box empty. Then submit the form.
