ACTION STEP #1: Complete CCPS (Centralized Clinical Placement System)
Students NEW to CCPS
In the top right click "login/register" and register as a new student user with your @maine.edu account. Follow the steps provided and enter all information requested.
The site will guide you through completing four education modules. Each module consists of information to read and then a module quiz. These modules may take you several hours to complete, but you can leave and return, doing this in smaller chunks of time if you need to. You must complete all four module quizzes.
Once you have completed all four module quizzes, you will be at the Centralized Clinical Placement Online Orientation Page and the text below will say - You are registered under: University of Southern Maine
Step 1: should now say (completed). Follow Step 2, a blue box will open in a new page. Please carefully review the questions and indicate accurate information about your clinical assignment. You can leave the "click here if this is a precepted assignment" box empty. Then submit the form.
Follow Step 3. Your clinical assignment should show in the My Clinical Placement Assignments blue box. There are links to click/follow if it does not show, or if you’ve made a mistake.
At the bottom of the page, under the Health Care Organization column, highlighted in yellow is a link "Mid Coast". Click on it.
You can now read all of the Mid Coast specific documents.
IMPORTANT: at the bottom of the Mid Coast page there is an acknowledgment and checkbox you must submit to indicate you have reviewed all the documents. Submitting this will generate a "ticket" of completion that shows you've finished CCPS for that facility.
You do not need to print or save this ticket. USM can see who has them in CCPS from our end of things.
Action Step #2 below lists the documents you'll need to fill out and submit to USM.
RETURNING CCPS Student Users
Go to https://www.mass.edu/mcncps/orientation/welcome.asp and login to your existing CCPS account.

In the blue box choose "click here to add an assignment to the list".
Fill in the information about your clinical assignment. You can leave the "click here if this is a precepted assignment" box empty. Then submit the form.
